Online Pre-Order Policy

Thank you for choosing an independent online bookstore! Pre-ordering guarantees your copy is secured directly from our publisher allocations. Because we operate exclusively online and ship right to your door, please review our specialized pre-order shipping and fulfillment guidelines:

1. Payment & Order Processing

Payment at Checkout: All online pre-orders are billed in full at the time of purchase. This allows us to guarantee and reserve your physical copy from our distributor allocations (such as Ingram or publisher-direct channels).

Consolidated Shipping Notice: If your cart contains a mix of currently available books and pre-order titles, your entire order will ship together once the final pre-order book releases. If you would like your available books shipped immediately, please place them as a separate transaction.

2. Shipping Timelines & Delivery Expectations

Handoff Windows: We coordinate our logistics to ensure your books leave our fulfillment center on or within 1–2 business days of the publisher's official release date.

Transit Estmates: Depending on the shipping tier selected at checkout (e.g., USPS Media Mail vs. Standard Ground), domestic transit typically takes 3 to 8 business days post-release.

Publisher Release Shifts: If a publisher delays a book's release date, your order remains entirely secure. We will automatically adjust your fulfillment window and notify you via email of the new projected shipping timeline.

3. Freight Liability & Carrier Transit

Fulfillment Liability: A Crypt of Tales assumes full structural liability for the safety and condition of your book from our warehouse up until it is handed over to the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).

Carrier Transit & Claims: Once a package is scanned into the carrier's network, transit risk transfers to the carrier. Every order includes automated tracking details sent straight to your email.

Damaged or Missing Arrivals: If your book arrives damaged due to rough transit or is marked as delivered but missing, please contact our support team at acryptoftales@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery. We will gladly file a carrier claim on your behalf and arrange a priority replacement or store credit.

4. Cancellations & Address Updates

Cancellations: You can cancel an online pre-order for a full refund up to 14 days prior to the book’s official publication date. Within 14 days of release, allocations are locked, and cancellations will be refunded via store credit only.

Address Changes: Moving before a book drops? You can update your shipping address at any time up to 7 business days before the release date by replying directly to your order confirmation email.
