The Living Copy

While exploring an abandoned mining village in Northeastern Pennsylvania's coal country, Sunny sees the child ghost of her long-dead great-uncle who once drowned there. Her grandmother, who always told her stories of the haunted women in their family, is dying, and the mining company long ruling over their valley offers them a Living Copy in exchange for all the evidence of her grandmother's life. As the pressure of a bleak valley future and the presence of her grandmother's AI replica begin to overwhelm her, Sunny starts on a quest to find out if the ghost stories her gram told her are true, or a sign of her family's mental illness manifesting. A haunting, haunted Pennsylvania Gothic novel, The Living Copy is about the price we pay when we refuse to let go of the past.
